Types of Visa
- Type C Visa (short term): Short-stay visa, valid for one or more entries and for a period not exceeding 90 days [Cannot be converted or extended]
- Type D Visa (Long term): Long-stay visa valid for more than 90 days
- Applying for the student visa, students are expected to apply for their visa before 3 months to course start and it will take 1 to 3 weeks for visa processing to Italy
- For EU students they may work during studies, whereas Non- EU students are required to apply work permit (generally it will take 2 months so that students should have to prepare for their expenses before they start their part-time work). Here they can work 20 hours per week in the during the term time and full time in the off term.
- For maintenance funds, students are required to have a minimum of 900 Euros per month.
- Students can apply visa for their family (spouse, dependent children under 18 years age) at the Italian Embassy or Consulate in your home country while you are applying your long term visa (you only allowed to apply certain courses only- For more detail please contact us)
- Family reunion visa are allowed students who have got more than 1-year valid visa
Note: EU students do not need a visa to study in Italy
Documents Required for Student Admission
- Student passport/Identity card
- Completed relevant pre-enrolment form/ A completed application form
- Previous qualifications/School leaving documents/Academic transcripts
- 2 passport size photos
- Work experience or relevant traying/achievement certificates (such as Music and Arts)
- Proof of health insurance (S1 form/private health insurance with 1-year validity/voluntary registration to the Italian national health system.
Note: The European health insurance card is not sufficient)

Qualification’s structure:
- First cycle/Laurea - comparable to a Bachelors/undergraduate degree
- Second cycle/Laurea Magistrale - consists of two years of study, and the equivalent to a Masters degree
- Specialist Masters programmes/Master Universitario di 1° Livello - usually involve one year of study and provide students with professional knowledge
- Single cycle Masters programmes/Laurea Magistrale Ciclo Unico - a five or six year programme allowing entry for school leavers
- Third cycle/Dottorato di Ricerca - three-year, PhD-level programmes - Proof of Italian proficiency
- Letter of recommendation/ Personal Statement

- A valid passport(s)
- Entry visa application form
- Acceptance letter from an Italian University
- 2 Recent passport size photographs
- Proof of accommodation in Italy (for the whole period of your studies)
