Admission Process:

International Students from outside UK (other than EEA nationals) are required student visa before they arrive in theUK on all full-time courses. UK Student visa system is based on certain eligibility criteria and it is calculated using a ‘Point based system’.

UK Admission Process:
  • Evidence of qualifications required (credentials) to meet the entry requirements

  • Two references required for your student application (1. Academic 2. Personal or work)
  • Either Research proposal or SoP (Statement of Proposal) required for every course; always check requirements to Universities or Institutes for guidance and instructions.
  • A copy of Passport or Travel Document (You need a page in your passport that’s blank on both sides for your visa).
  • Proof of your relationship with your parent or guardian.

Application stages:
  • Submission of Application to University/Institute

  • Interview (generally via skype)
  • Issuing Conditional Offer Letter (Once application is accepted and certain conditions may require a meeting to get approval for further stages); In this stage students required to demonstrate their financial ability;
  • Student route visa guidance:(To make a successful application you must meet the full requirements of the immigration rules and achieve 70 points.)
  • Breakdown: 50 points for the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)/10 points for the financial requirements which will show that you have sufficient money to cover your course fees and living expenses/10 points for your English language qualifications.
  • Maintenance funds required to hold in your account for 28 days consecutively:
  • UKVI financial requirements are very important which you need clearly demonstrate financial stability to obtain your visa. Financial documents you need to show you have enough money for your UK Visa, the money you are required to show for your maintenance can be in your Bank Account, in parents account or else in a joint account.
  • If you are intending to study in London; Your need £1,334 for each month of your course up to a maximum of nine months which will be accounted for £12,006.
  • If you are intending study in Outer London your need to have £1,023 for each month of your course up to a maximum of 9,207. (it is equivalent of nine months cost of living).
  • Dependants: If you are intending to bring your dependants, you will also need to show a minimum of £845 for a month and required to have funds of 9 months total value £7,605 for within the London;
    For outer London students, £680 per month and for 9 months maximum of living cost is £6,120.
  • Financial Evidence: For financial evidence, you must show the following documents:
  • Your bank statements
  • Building society pass book/s
  • Letter from the Bank
  • Letter from Financial Institutions
  • In case of Student Loan: either form Bank or Government institutions must confirm the loan letters
  • In case of parents account: Parents Bank statements or financial documents (ex. Parents saving or fixed deposits) and along with confirmation letter saying that they are paying all your expenses. Note: if you are using your parent’s bank statement you must provide ‘Birth certificate’. It should be including your name and parents name.
  • In case of other family members or guardians need either transfer to your account or joint account with your name

    • In case of University sponsorship
    • The maintenance funds must be in your account for a consecutive period of 28 days. For UKVI requirement you should maintain complete funds and it should not drop even one day. Your maintenance funds Bank statements must be no more than 30 days old on the date of your application.
    • You need to show 1st year tuition fee only if you have not paid complete 1st year tuition fee, you need to show that remaining money in your maintenance funds

    • Unconditional Offer Letter (Once academic and non-academic achievements assessment process completed students will get UOL)
    • Final Stage of the Application process is issuing CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies)

      Types of study visa
      • Short-term study visa:
        Students who wish to do short term courses they need to apply this category
      • Students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland must apply for their visa before they arrive in the UK
      • For this category, student are eligible to do their sort-term courses such as English language course or a training course and short period of research as part of a degree course if you are studying abroad
      • In this category you can not study at state-funded schools, students are not allowed to work or including placement and work experience
      • Students can not extend their visa or change visa of visa category
      • Student are not allowed to bring their family or dependants

      Duration of stay in this category:

      • 6 months - for any short course (including English language courses), or short period of research if you’re 16 or over

      How to apply for UK visa?

      Once you are offered a place on a course and after you will get CAS, you can apply for your visa depending on the country where your visa application will be processed. In general, most of the countries have British High commission offering visa services available through VFS services.

      The earliest you can apply for a visa is 3 months before you start your course.

      About Student Visa:

      In the UK Student Visa is a Point based visa system, this category is for students (general) coming to the UK for Post 16years education. A Student Visa (General category) must be at least 16 years and above to study in the UK. To get student visa students to need to obtain 70 points by having a valid CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) for 50 points, Maintenance funds (Financial requirements) for 10 points and 10 points for your English language qualifications.

      The UK Visa system is designed to protect students and to ensure that UK Institutions are working in the best interests of students to ensure that they are able to complete their course.

      How long you can stay:

      You can arrive in the UK before your course starts:

      • up to 1 week before, if your course lasts 6 months or less
      • up to 1 month before, if your course lasts more than 6 months
      How to apply student visa within the UK:

      When you want to apply further studies or extend your visa with in UK your new course of studies must start no more than 28 days after the end of your current course, if the gap between the end of our current level and the start of your new course is longer than 28 days then you must leave the UK and apply from your respected home countries. Students must go higher level (QCF/RQF) than the present course.

      Regarding Part-time work:

      Students get Part-time work and they will be allowed during term time if you are studying University will allow 20 hours per week and if you are in Public funding college you will be allowed to work 10 hours per week. During the vacation students allowed to work full time.

      Family members:

      Your family members (dependants) might be able to apply to join or remain with you in the UK if they’re from outside the European Economic Area (EEA)or Switzerland.

      Eligibility of family members:

      • your child under 18 years old - including if they were born in the UK during your stay
      • sponsored by a higher education institution on a course at level 7 on the Ofqual register or above that lasts 9 months or more
